Why I Built SettleQuik
A story about solving payment friction, one link at a time
The Origin Story
When I started my entrepreneurial journey, I didn't know that "payment friction" was a technical term. I just knew it was costing me money.
I was tired of losing clients simply because I didn't have the one specific app they wanted to use. Every time I tried to close a deal or send an invoice, it was the same exhausting song and dance:
"Do you have Cash App?"
"No…"
"Okay, do you have Venmo?"
"No, I only use PayPal."
It was worse than trying to get a group of friends to agree on where to go for dinner—except this was my livelihood on the line.
I realized I wasn't just losing time; I was losing business. I built SettleQuik to solve this pain point for myself, so I would never have to ask, "How do you want to pay?" ever again.
But once I saw how well it worked, I realized I wasn't the only one fighting this battle. Every freelancer, creator, and business owner I knew was stuck in the same loop. I decided to turn my solution into a platform to help them, too.
Our Mission
ONE LINK. YOUR BUSINESS.
We believe that getting paid should be the easiest part of your day. You shouldn't have to manage five different apps or messy invoices just to accept money. Our goal is to remove every barrier between you and your hard-earned income.
Our Promise
We Are Builders, Not Bankers.
Trust is everything when it comes to money. We want to be clear: SettleQuik is a technology company, not a bank. We never touch, hold, or process your funds. We simply build the "bridge" that shares your link, directing your client to your preferred payment app instantly and securely.
Your money goes directly from them to you—we just make sure it gets there faster.
